During the classes, I realized something used to be neglected about myself according to the self-assessment instruments. I am good at observing the things happening around me carefully and objectively. I always pay attention to others’ saying and acting. I am used to look at how people behave to classify them into different types and then predict their reactions in most of the time.
Also, I excel in systematic analysis. I usually use theory models to explain events. I feel satisfied if I figure out the reasons, process or solutions of an issue or event by my own thinking. A business analyst needs to work with business consultancy team in most time. Also, keeping in touch with other departments is unavoidable, as a business analyst has to understand if there are any problems. I am unconfident about my communication skills actually. I try to talk with others actively and avoid dead air during conversations, but I seldom talk about a topic in a deep level, turning simple words into meaningful inspiration. I hope that I can apply some communication strategies solving this problem. Therefore, I can have better interpersonal skills and communication skills to do my work smoothly.

First of all, I would join English courses, which aims at improving the English for everyday communication. The main difference from the English courses in Hong Kong, is that native teachers speak idiomatic English using their own methods. It would be a precious experience as I may not experience the same in Hong Kong ever again. Outside the classrooms, I can practice the words I learnt during the classes.
