If my patients feel like they are important and loved as God loves us, then I would have succeeded. I don’t see myself as a creative person to make cards, but I will use the gifts that God has given me. I do care about people and I hope I treat them how I want to be treated (Luke 6:31). I know I am not alone in accomplishing my goals because God is with me. In Isaiah 41:13 it states, “For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you” (NIV). God will help me to influence others through my actions in using my hands in helping others. Lastly, I will address my response to this reflection.
In response to this reflection I feel I should continue to pray and research new ways to help my patients feel important and cared about. Part of my research will be to educate myself on the best research practices and going above what is expected of me. Nursing is not just a job but a way to show people love and respect.
