I tried to write a lot of things for this event, which was the first school event we held by ourselves, who were the new students of the high school club. The thing I had to do just to write the drafts of the broadcast to advertise this important event. There were total seven drafts I need to write, including two summarized drafts and five drafts for the five activities of this event. However, if that was the essay or paper for my homework, I didn’t need to worry about it. All things I need to do just to try it as usual. The main point was, the broadcast would be heard by all over the school, where included over three thousand people. It made me nervous, so that when I sitted in front of the table, I had no idea about the drafts.
I started to think about the event. That’s a super party of the last day of the year. Every year in my high school, every class and club would hold all kinds of events. As one of the biggest club in the school, we needed to hold the party with games and performances. The field of it would cover all over the school, and there would not be any help from the school. The holders were students, but the consumers would be people from the society. Yes, that’s not

Fortunately, the event was a traditional activity of my high school through over ten years, there were a lot of information about it. I spent a whole day to get more information, it made me learn more about this event and understand more about various activities of this event. I started to write the draft, I was really excited to tell people about this amazing event. When I remembered the pictures of the past events, I can even imagine the day of the event. It’s hot and with a lot of people, they were dancing together with the rabbit dance, and also they can make a vow and write down on the Wishing wall. Everyone would enjoy the show of the Crazy Main Stage, there must be a lot of smile on people’s

This is a non-traditional high school and based on the population and my experience during the fall semester I still think that there is a lot to do here for this particular population (about their age, legal and social status). Everybody seemed very committed to work hard to support these students. It is true that regarding working with them in regular sessions is a challenge for the counselor. I feel it is difficult to work directly with students as probably I could have worked in a traditional school. I am really interested in working with this population and I also feel that if someone wants to learn and understand the immigrant population in other schools in this area and other areas this is a great place to learn.…

He showed me that with every argument comes a counter argument; adding a counter argument reinforced my argument greatly. Another technique I applied to my essays with Professor Castro’s instruction was planning. In high school, planning an essay seemed like a waste of time because the assignments were always just five paragraph, five sentence essays. Since we had to write these essays in such a short amount of time for tests, I was able to produce the work the night before. On the other hand, Professor Castro has shown the divergence between high school and college; planning and editing are two essential steps in writing.…

It feels like so long ago when I first began this English course. I can remember being so excited about the class topic, racism and social justice, which I felt that I had a lot of passion for. Little did I know that I would have to gather up even more enthusiasm and passion to be able to continue writing papers about the same topic all semester long. This course has tested my endurance, and at many times my patience, and for that I am thankful because I know in the end, it has made me a better writer. Despite various minor challenges this semester I believe that I have put in the hard work that it takes and I have achieved the course goals and will complete this class feeling fulfilled and accomplished.…

As I have been typing this essay though I have come to realize that I don’t like writing in the slightest other than for practice, it is too time consuming and it bores me. The part of writing that I seem to struggle with is writing itself. This is due to the fact that I don’t have much to say and once I have finished what I actually have to say I have trouble with coming up with more. The only part of writing that I would say that I excel at is the revision process. I have one writing goal, that being to have better grammar, other goals are financial.…

You are in class one day when the teacher announces a new assignment: students are to research and give an informative speech about any topic of their choosing. As the student, imagine that you are terrified to not only present the speech in front of your entire class, but to have to go through the process of picking a topic, researching it, organizing your speech, and practicing it as well. At the beginning of my communication class, this was how I felt about producing and giving speeches. I was nervous to talk in front of the class because I have always been very shy and have suffered from extreme speech apprehension. I also dreaded picking a topic and organizing my speeches as well, since I could never make up my mind and I was never good…
