This year’s reflective essay, I gave a brief overview of this past school year and how I have improved since my first year. With the use of rhetorical strategies, such as anecdotes, personification, and the appeal to pathos and logos, I intend to make readers understand my 11th grade year. The anecdotes I included were all personal experiences, most of which helped me be where I am now. These short stories were used to inform my readers about what I have been through, to better help understand my actions. My appeal to pathos was an effective way to trigger people’s emotions, so that they can relate to the emotions I was feeling at the time. Also the appeal to logos helped with my rationalizing on the decisions I made and how I overcame obstacles
