Reflective Essay: Leadership In The Workplace

Doctors were excellent, took out the lymph chain and the last half was clear, no cancer, but you still have to go and get checked out all of your life. I them enrolled in this program in hopes that when I finish I could find work part time in my field. Two day ago I went to my dermatology Doctor, and found out the cancer was back it is on my arm, and she froze it off with cryosurgery, and know we have to keep an eye on it, but at least I am in good hands and still look forward to working in my new field. Also in high school, I was in a marching band that traveled to competitions, and always took first place, and best overall in show, I also was in the county 4-H and rode my horse in show both English, and Western, got may grand champion and reserve champions, plus I in 1982 I rode for the U.S. Equestrian Team, and represented our country, that year we took some gold medals as well as silver, to day I still ride, and enjoy it a lot. …show more content…
I have learned about biases, and assumptions early in my care as a Home Health Aide, CNA I & II, and through my nursing that it can only hurt people, cause a world of problems, even become dangerous depending on who it is coming from. This course has also thought me how to further handle biases, how to funnel it into a good source by teaching about it. After taking this program I further understand how biases can affect the leadership of a person or an organization. I personally do not let biases into my realm because in my line of work it is inappropriate,
