During the past couple years I’ve been through so much then what a normal person my age usually deals with. My parents went through a rough divorce in 2012 during my senior year in high school. I wanted to make my Mom proud and show her through anything I can go to college and get a degree in something and be successful in life. I then registered at St. Cloud Technical & Community College spring of 2013, got my acceptance letter and was proud of myself for getting here. I began college in August of 2013 and had an awesome couple months, but then things started getting rough. My Mom ended up having a knee surgery in 2010, but due to complications from the surgery she was no longer able to work until she got her knee dealt with. I then decided

Everything was going great until another issue happened, we lost our house where then we moved in with my Grandma which was 25 minutes from school, we didn’t have a car at the time which made it impossible for me to get to school and Regency had a policy if you don’t get enough hours in a month you’re not eligible for the program. So before that happened I sat down and talked to my advisor at Regency and talked to her and we both agreed that withdrawing from the program is the right thing until I can figure out my family issues and get back on my feet. After that I knew I could just give up and let these problems affect my schooling. I then started back at Rasmussen because I’ve noticed people who take a break from school don’t go back and I didn’t want that to be me. I then continued my schooling at Rasmussen until February of 2015.
