This artifact requires the ability to analyze texts, understand themes in texts and write an essay in the TIED format. When I was reading Everyone Leaves I took notes every time I saw a quote that related to my theme. My essay was specifically about how growing up in Cuba hindered Nieve’s chances of becoming successful. In this artifact I used the leadership skill thinking critically and collaborating productively in order to create an argument for a theme by analyzing text and communicating my ideas to peers.
