This statement sums up my perception of the importance of education in providing direction for the growth of society. Education, I believe, lays the foundation for a progressive and healthy civilization and adds layers of value to it with the passage of time. My zeal for contributing to the cause of education has always influenced my professional endeavors. From my experiences working at premiere educational institutions, I have come to understand that there are measurable attributes that set one apart from the others. Also, anything that is measurable can be objectively improved. My love for education and recognition of its crucial importance influenced my decision to pursue doctoral studies in counselor education at University of Florida. My careers goals are two folded. My primary research interest is in the field of multicultural supervision. Being an ethnic minority supervisor for the past two and half year, I learned that there are different challenges even beyond communication and cultural issues that one faces as an ethnic minority supervisor which many times goes unnoticed and unheard during clinical supervision.
