Reflective Diet Analysis Essay Introduction: Throughout this bio nutrition course, there has been data collected over a spanned of three days. Throughout those three days’ that data was collected we tracked our eating habits and the consumption of different products that are entering our body. This study and data collection showed how we have different strengths when it comes to eat and we can’t forget about some shortcomings that come along with eating whatever you want. But also a great thing about seeing how we eat, can help us change and modify our date to reach goals that our body needs. So throughout this analysis I will harp on some key things that were taken out of this data collection/ experiment. Strength: So my target for Kcalories …show more content…
The things I struggled with a lot with this data collection on our eating habits was sticking to healthy food, but that didn’t work out because I consumed a number of frozen pizzas and also takeout food. Just alone a pizza, supreme, Original rang up 1,800 calories. That number of calories in one meal takes up about ¼ of my daily intake of close to 5,000 Kcals. That’s where I started to notice that I was consuming so much food at once and waiting a long spanned of time to eat again. Even when I did eat it was small, which cut me short of my goal. With not only the amount of food I ate in one sitting another shortcoming I realized was that I wasn’t consuming enough water in my diet. What I mean by that is not just from alcohol consumption but I had a shortage of about 49% of my average water intake. Which I deemed as being really annoying because I carry around a water bottle all day, but fail to drink more than one bottle. After seeing that my water levels were low, I told myself to try to consume short amounts of water and space it out throughout the day to keep levels …show more content…
With consuming so much processed crap it could lead to a couple of risk in my health, for one my body could go into a zone of being undernourished and over nourished. Also if consuming products like these could lead to unwanted fat. The way I can change all of this would be to take out the pizza, the jimmy johns, and the beer. While changing those three fields I could add in more of a home cooked meal like a plate of brown rice with a baked all white meat chicken breast with a tall glass of water or protein shake. With having this meal being a sit down meal I found that I grabbed a couple of sandwich while I was on the go. That being jimmy johns and subway; that needs to change too because I rarely have time in the morning to pack food for the day. So to change that I plan to implement more time in my schedule to pack a snack for the day or even a cooked meal like a PB&J sandwich which is rich in protein and omega fatty acids. With a couple of those sandwiches I’ll feel I’ll have more energy throughout the
