When I first started the rhetoric, inquiry and critical writing course I was unaware of the specific flaws in my writing assignments. During this course not only did I figure out my own style of writing, but I also learned about other writing styles and how I could incorporate them into my own writing. The constructive criticism given by my peers and professor improved my way of writing. The hardest obstacle I had to face while writing was staying on topic. I gave too much information about a general topic instead of focusing on a small portion and brainstorming from there. My ideas would be all over the essay and it would either make the essay hard to understand or hard to focus on. Now while I write I always make sure to plan out my essay
