Reflection: Critical Incident During my fourth semester medical/surgical clinical rotation I had the opportunity to be placed on a cardiac floor. This patient population was admitted from the ICU (intensive care unit) and more critical than I was used to. I was excited for the opportunity, as I knew this would be a challenging experience and a great learning experience. I knew there was a high likelihood that this patient population could have a rapid change in condition that would require a rapid assessment and interventions and I was ready for the challenge.
