Readings: None listed in the outline (PSA Presentation day!) Today we had all of our Public Service Announcement assignments present in class. Some were videos, slideshows and poems. Over all, it was very interesting to see and learn about all of the different trauma related fields, theories, facts and activities. I think that everyone brought forward a creative presentation, making their PSA their very own. I truly enjoyed this class and think that it followed through with the amount of learning potential it offered.
1. What did this class mean to you?
To me, this class meant opening my eyes to even more topics and subtopics included with trauma healing, and then being able to take that knowledge and apply it in …show more content…
How did it make me feel?
I felt very interested in exploring the topic, but this course did seem like an end to wrap up our journey in learning about trauma healing. I feel disappointed about the end of the course content however I also feel inspired and encouraged to apply what I have learned. I feel reflecting on the class that this was a perfect topic to end on, as it embraces all of the aspects of trauma and trauma healing we have explored so far.
3. How did the class connect (or not) to the readings (citing the readings)?
The readings connected fairly well to the mindfulness aspect that we explored the other week, however I personally can understand how mindfulness and the ability to be self-aware is something that correlates with resiliency directly.
4. What did you learn about yourself during the class?
This class I learned that this is probably my favourite class that I’ve ever taken. In reflection, I really appreciated the organized and layer based way of learning. Each lesson was building off the last, and that made it easier for me to learn. I figured out that personally I learn better this way, because I like to apply what I have learned in further lessons which is something I have been able to do this
