The Book Theif Thesis

The Book Theif is a very inspiring and eye opening film and book. It really showed very detailed and it should the struggles that people went through during the time hitler was ruling Germany. The way the people were treated was very horrible , Just seeing and reading about it really puts my stomach into knots. But the thing i found most intresting about this story was the charaters passion for literature. Literature played a big part when it came to Han, Liesal, and Max which I found very intresting to read and watch it made it very enjoyable to see the charaters passion and love for literacy especially Liesal. In the movie Literacy played a big part when it came to Han because it helped him connect with Liesal. It something they both enjoyed and I think Han liked the fact that it was personal and just between hme and her. The moment when hitler told his people to burn all the books and Liesal ran back to get one and gets caught by Han was very touching. I think she thought Han was going to freak out and want no part of what she is doing, But he did not and thats when liesal started to feel comfortable expressing her passion for literacy to Han. From the begging thats all he would every talk about. The moment he walked into the house he had a book in his hand which lisal was very curious about. Literacy brought him and liesal togather.
