Young adults tend to lose focus as soon as they look at their phone screen. Simple slogans and catchphrases on billboards do not lower this risk; they rather increase the distraction of a driver. However Education Weekly suggests the idea of “stronger penalties” because it’s going to take more than “awareness campaigns” to stop these actions. The more forceful a consequence becomes, the chances of common texting while driving incidents could decrease.
