Evaluation of the project outcome
I think that our project outcome was successful. I would say that our aim of trying to spread awareness about face-to-face communication was accomplished. Our website was really good and we got a lot of different cultural perspectives from around the world, from Australia to South Africa. I think the perspectives from the different countries were very good, but it would be better if we could get more people and different people from the same culture to answer our survey. Because I don’t believe that everyone from the same country or culture has the same opinion about things. Unfortunately, we had limited contacts from around the world, so it was hard to get more than one or two answers from the same country/culture. But overall I think that the project outcome was excellent and it looked professional.
Teamwork
I think that the teamwork in our group went pretty well. We planned almost everything for the week, and it all went very smoothly. We had some issues here and there, but I think we got through them just nicely. When we got stuck and couldn’t get further were we quick

We saw that there were quite the differences between the different perspectives of digital culture around the world. There is a large difference of use of social media and technology in Britain in comparison South Africa. For example: in our project outcome, a person from Britain states: “Technology is EVERYWHERE! Instead everyone is either out working, or out playing. Everything they do here is outdoor activities. And I love

I would definitely describe myself as someone who is always willing to try new things, including eating strange types of food, chewing on a “tongue numbing” plant at the Arboretum, and licking the bottom of daddy longlegs to see if it tastes like peppermint. Signing up for Orion was opening up the door to a new challenge that I have never experienced before. I have never gone hiking, let alone backpacking, nevertheless I gave the experience my all and what I got back from it was exponential. When faxing those final forms for this trip, I did not realize the amount of teamwork that would go into this experience.…

Collaboration is the process of working together with others to improve a piece of writing. It is a process in which others revise one’s original work and give the author advise on how to edit their piece of writing. Different perspectives are shared and taken into consideration, thus allowing the author to get a fresh pair of eyes on their writing other than their own. It is a very important step when completing a paper because it helps us be able to see the improvements needed to be made that we might not have noticed. Project 1:…

If I had to describe The Avengers as either a group or a team, I would label us as a team. The level of cooperation, diversity of skills, group identity, as well as time and resources all play a part in coming to this decision. Teams have higher cooperation than groups, members with more diverse skills, a stronger identity than a group, and they take up more time and resources. We did build true teamwork. Our team had a very high level of cooperation.…

Teamwork in this particular task was straightforward and we had no problems in terms of participation and contribution. Having said that there was also no 'social loafing ' within my team, as Latane et al., 1979 argued was a problem in teams, whereby people were louder individually than they were in groups (chapter 6, pg. 180). Rather I felt that everyone had an equal…

To have effective works teams, there are characteristics that must be addressed among the group. Examples of these characteristics are: positive leadership, communication strategies, and a supportive team climate (Nancarrow, Booth, Ariss, Smith, Enderby, & Roots, 2013). In this week’s presentation, it is stated that in a covenantal organization, members are mutually accountable to one another for the sake of team work, and mutual care (PointeCast Module 7, n.d). For most of my professional and educational life, I have had horrible experiences working within groups, and I have ended up doing most the work to ensure it was completed on time.…

I made an appointment and the physician informed me that the pain was being caused by a pregnancy that occurred very quickly after a miscarriage. I accepted this information without question. My baby was born premature, but was healthy enough to go home the same day I did.…

Concrete Experience The first class exercise that we did in class was the Adventure in the Amazon; in this exercise we worked in our groups that we formed the first day of class. Our objective was to rank the fifteen items listed in accordance to our survival. This was a two-part exercise, the first was ranking them individually with no help from others and the second was doing collectively as a group. Individually I did the best out of our group and since of my past experiences in the Marines.…

For me, it’s not easy working with others because I like to take ownership of my work. It was a great experience to see the importance of the synergies that were created, as effective division of work and proper communication made a very big project manageable. Also, completely reading the instructions is an important lesson the we learned and can take anywhere. While we were confident about our material in the presentation, we didn’t follow the guidelines well, which hurt us. Trust is a huge part about working in groups, and I gained this trust through interaction with my team members, as well as success early on in the project.…
