I am currently working as an intern at Oak Tree physical Therapy, which is known physical therapy clinic in Edison, New Jersey. Oaktree Physical therapy believes in providing best physical therapy care in New Jersey, and high standard of care with individualized treatment for each patient. A physical therapist who treats conditions such as therapeutic exercise for release pain, Orthopaedic (knee replacement, osteoarthritis, Sciatica etc.), Cardiopulmonary (heart attack, asthma etc.), Neurological (stroke, Parkinson) with the application of heat or cold packs, massage, and appropriate exercise. During a typical day at work, I start my day with 9:00 AM meeting to discuss the list of patients, discuss the new patients, absent staff on that day, and schedule of the massage exercise. Being an intern, I have a set schedule for my tasks, calling the patients and guide them to the treatment room or calling the patients who are suitable for the therapy, taking new appointments are my fixed tasks, but sometimes I have to be flexible and help the nursing staff to collect the progress data of the patients. I am also responsible to prepare a bed for the patients when they get ready for a nap after having a lunch. It is usually lunchtime after this; the staff finally sits together and have lunch. We usually get back to the work by 1:30 pm. After finishing above described tasks, I help to create some paperwork which includes a brief summary of the discharge summary of the patient. Apart from this, I get ready for the afternoon arrival patients and help them or guide them as per the necessity and take new appointments. The day ends around 6:00 Pm and I jump in the car and go home.

In conclusion, I would like to say that this is the best place to work; I have improved my communication skills, decision-making skills, time management skills, also learned about new treatment techniques. In addition, I get feedback from my colleagues and doctors how I can improve my work day by day. Also, I keep monitor myself for my own development.
