I have never enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new things and experiencing the wonders of this world. I am a ‘hands on’ learner. If you show me how to fish, I’ll retain the knowledge much more easily than to just explain how to fish. I’m assuming, like most people I went to college right out of high school and thoroughly enjoyed the college experience. Maybe for the wrong reasons. I thought I knew what I wanted to do with my life, but was never really motivated to complete my degree in Wildlife Ecology and
Management. I literally lack 26 hours from obtaining my bachelors of science in that field.

After the retreat, which happened to be a FUGE sponsored camp in Mobile, AL, I realized that I really enjoyed the kids and helping them with their own struggles. Also, they responded well to me! However, I knew I wanted a biblically based education for two reasons. One was for my own selfish reason of wanting to ‘force’ myself to dig deeper into God’s Word.
Two would be because of the degree I’m pursuing, psychology. I want the background biblically based so that I will have a different perspective from other individuals in the field. That’s when I remembered what I had heard on K-Love, Colorado Christian
University.
Since going through the many trails and having the experiences that I’ve had, I am more mature and ready to complete my education. Now that I am enrolled and just starting my education with CCU, it brings me a lot of joy and excitement. I believe that God is helping me along in this journey and if He is involved I cannot fail. Ultimately, after graduation, I would love to be work on a church staff either as a mentor, councilor, or teacher. Right now, I don’t know what God has planned for me, career wise, but I do
