Reflection Paper On Learning To Juggle

A. Introduction For my personal learning experience I chose to learn how to juggle. This was chosen because it is something that always looked fun, and I figured why not give it a shot now! At first it was just attempting to juggle without any kind of prior knowledge on it, and without any sort of help or guidance. But, eventually I resorted to using YouTube videos to help learn how to juggle due to the lack of success. I spent just about thirty hours learning this. For the last eight weeks I decided to spend at least thirty minutes a day working on this. This seemed like something new that could be learned and probably picked up really easily. But, instead it was a struggling task to learn how to juggle. Also, there was a lot more time put into this than was expected. It was actually almost double the time of the original plan. Originally it seemed like it would take about fourteen to fifteen hours. The extra effort and time to learn juggling definitely affected my interest in continuing to learn to juggle. If not for a project I would have easily given up. I mean by no means am I good at it, or in fact even able to juggle. But, sticking with it and not quitting and giving up was definitely a good feeling. It seems better to have tried and failed, rather than to have never tried. At least now it is know that I cannot juggle. Planning on continuing to develop this skill does not seem possible! Everything was so much more time consuming and even more frustrating than ever imagined. Mostly, the reason to not continue this skill is because of the time. There is just no time due to a going, going, going, all day everyday schedule. To help persuade all students to develop some facility in an area they do not like it would seem best to explain the importance of continuing on and not giving up. Eventually with enough practice you can achieve anything, whether it is math or a cool trick. It is so much better for people to keep pushing through their struggles and to not give up. Because in the end they will be much more happier that they did not give up and pursued the difficult
