It was clear she was there for the sole purpose of educating her students. The first time I saw her taking an opportunity to teach was when a child’s shoe came untied. She didn’t just tie it back quickly and sweep the child off. She, instead, sit down to tie this little guys shoe and started explaining how through a little song. He was learning through her helping him doing something as simple as tying his shoe. Later on in the day it was time for the children to be picked up by their families. All of the kids had left, but one little girl, the teacher came back over to the carpet where she was and begin to let her draw her A’s. She used this free space to teach in.
