Reflection On The Results Of The Creative Leadership Questionnaire

In reviewing the results of the creative leadership questionnaire, I found that I agreed with some of the results and strongly disagreed with other results. My strongest key factors were managing change and leadership. The scores for Planning, interpersonal skills and results orientation were slightly lower. I would agree that my best skill would be managing change, but I would say my second best skill is planning and organizing. I would say my lowest factor should be results orientation. Looking at the managing change factor, most of my scores were quite high except for initiative. While I would agree that initiative would be my lowest of the listed factors, this is partially due to my work experience at a very traditional company. The company expected our assignments to be delegated from our supervisors and planned in advance. They did not allow or encourage employees to take the initiative or look for new responsibilities. Now that I am working at a much less traditional company I should look for more ways to take the initiative, take on extra responsibility when I feel I can handle it and look for ways to expand my role at the company. My scores for planning and decision making were all very closely arranged in the 4 - 7 range. I usually find that planning and organization is a strength of mine, so I was unsure about the results. …show more content…
Looking at my lowest score, “Achieving Goals," the description contains the phrase “prepared to do whatever it takes.” I don’t think I would ever affirmatively say something along those lines. It seems far to encompassing and vague a statement and can raise several ethical issues. I do think that I was able to get a general sense of some strengths and weaknesses from this exercise, however, I feel that the quiz does a poor job of taking individual levels of how self critical each person is when calculating the
