Life goes through many developmental stages even as early as in utero, and each stage is unique in their own way, and within each stage of development there are milestones that every individual reaches at unique times within their own meaningful way. The child and youth development course provided a very good base of knowledge any student could benefit from to bring to their work and everyday life. In this reflection paper I will first address some of the course material that I found the most interesting, secondly, how I will apply the content, concepts, and skills into my future career, studies, and personal life, thirdly what type of research I would be interested in pertaining to developmental psychology and lastly, any last burning questions that I still have after this very informative course.

However, they are still questions I have today and will probably continue to have until a few professionals give me a strait fact/research based answer. I always wondered how they could determine the gestation age of a growing embryo/fetus when we know that everyone grows at unique rates, and others are smaller, bigger, taller or shorter than others. I also wondered how much prenatal care is too much, not enough, and just enough? I wonder if I was taken care of the OBGYN earlier than twenty-five weeks gestation then maybe I would have not had my daughter ten weeks later. Lastly, what type of work should a mother not do while she is pregnant? As every body is unique, and some women have to be put on bed rest at the time she finds out she is pregnant, but I believe the work that I did induced labour but that is an all together a different
