What can I get for you?’ When the man answered it was—very firm and very loud voice – said to me “You messed up my Whopper, I want a new one now.” I then asked in the nicest way possible if “I could get the sandwich back” because if he didn't like the first one then I need it back to throw it away and give him a new one made the way he asked for it. So—in a hateful tone—the middle aged man told me: “I ate it” In my mind I was like what? How am I suppose to give you a new sandwich if you ate that one? I responded, “I can’t get you another sandwich …show more content…

We sell a lot of different types of food at Burger King and they all have there prices. However, this one old lady in particular wanted Chicken Strips. “We no longer have Chicken Strips, we either have Chicken Fries or Chicken Nuggets?” I politely said. I decided to start my experiment at Buffalo Wild Wings and to my surprise I didn’t get the reaction I was expecting from the waitress. I order the Loaded Ice Cream dessert and a snack size of the Boneless Honey Barbeque wings but requested the dessert first. The waitress looked at me for a second but then left without saying anything. At this point I expected her to ask if I was sure I wanted the dessert first but all I got was a confused look. The earliest I can remember learning that my gender was different and treated differently from someone else’s was probably when I was five or six years old. I always had to wear a dress or an outfit that was always pink. I had to play with dolls and only do things that little girls would normally do and I of course noticed that boys didn’t have to do anything similar to me so I realized that I was being treated differently simply because I was a girl.…

Life with Education As I sit and reflect on “First Job” by Iliana Roman and how her life could possibly compare to mine, the term “apples and oranges” come to mind. Even while I admire Iliana Roman’s “never give up” attitude and the fact she proved that a woman does not need a man to be successful in life, I don’t believe I’m going to find a multitude of points to hit upon. While the author’s first job of many lasted a period of years, my one and only job lasted a little over a year. It started at the beginning of my senior year and lasted through graduation.…

There was elderly couple at one of the booths quietly eating their food, two younger men at the bar chatting about their plans for the night; and one man sitting near the window and reading the local tabloids. Both George and Lennie were, in the back of the restaurant, working. George was cleaning dishes, while Lennie was trying his best to mop.…
