During the meeting they started off by going around the table and introducing one another. In the introduction they said their name and then stated that they were an alcoholic. They would read from their alcohol anonymous book to talk about what the meeting was all about and what the organization ultimately is trying to do. They then read a passage from a book that had a different passage for every single day and after reading the passage they would go around the table and talk about how it pertained to their life and their situation. Then at the end they read a passage and end the meeting with a prayer. …show more content…
The group offered get-togethers to where they can have a day of fun and enjoy being with people that understand what they are going through. This was an incredible experience.
The other meeting I attended was located at The Way Fellowship on 8542 W. Deer Valley Rd at 700 on February 15. The group that was meeting is called New Beginnings. At this particular meeting there were more people that were present which allowed me to see things on a bigger scale. This meeting was extremely welcoming and wanted nursing students to come and get involved with the AA community. In this meeting there was both men and women present and there were many people from the older demographic, but there were still people there that were in their early or late
