9/11/01 started out as a beautiful peaceful morning in New York, then at 8:46 a.m Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. “I think someone just bombed the World Trade Center”- New Yorker. Then Flight 175 crashed into the the South Tower at 590 mph at 9:03 a.m. At least 100 people were trapped by fire and smoke. After the twin towers were hit, The Pentagon was crashed into between corridors 4-5. The crash killed everyone on Flight 77 and 125 people inside the building. At 10:03 a.m Flight 93 also crashed into a field near Indian Lake, Pennsylvania, everyone died on impact in the plane. After 9/11 the nation soon later found out that Al Qaeda was responsible for the terror attacks. At least 2,996 people died on 9/11

She felt that if the U.S wasn’t involved in foreign affairs we wouldn’t be attacked. “George Bush is partly responsible for starting 9/11.” My Mom thought that 9/11 should be put in history books, and people should learn about the affects it had. A museum would be best for a memorial on the 9/11 site, so people could learn about it and become educated on what happened. The memorial site should also have statues and engravings of names of people who died during 9/11 and to also honor the firefighters and police officers that sacrificed their lives to save other people.
Before researching and analyzing information about 9/11 I didn’t know much about it. I only knew the surface information which was that terrorists hit the twin towers and it was a tragic event. I didn’t understand the pain and suffering people felt at the time. Now I understand why more than just survivors are so emotional about 9/11. Watching the documentary about first hand experiences of 9/11 was when I first understood why 9/11 was a very important event in U.S History. I tried putting myself in their shoes, and I can’t imagine watching the twin towers go down, people dying, and all the debris
