what makes me unique or different from others is my choice of sport which is wrestling. with that being said i feel like it has became a big part of me this summer and over the the course of my years here at evanston. this sport has taught me to be polite aggressive tough and to never give up. now that i am the captain of the team i would look at myself as a rolemodel. other role models i do look up to as well are my coaches because they discipline to be the best i can be. i do not like liars, cheaters, shortcuts. i feel that these techniques people use set me and others back from learning and performing well. i do enjoy motivation talks, cereal, gatorade and jordan gym shoes. i especially like jordan gym shoes because they attract attention and make me lots of money if i decide to sell on the market.

in previous math courses i had one thing i did not like was that my teacher did not teach the class but observe and let others converse and collab to get the answers. also did not give assistance when it was needed. i feel like this was a bad experience for me because of the way i'm used to learning. my algebra 2 teacher

Psychology 201 has been a very intriguing course for me so far. I really enjoyed learning about how the brain works and how big of a role it plays in our lives. Some specific areas of psychology I enjoyed studying were Operant Conditioning, the theories of motivation, and Jean-Dominique Bauby. Operant Conditioning was a familiar concept, even though I was not familiar with the specific terminology. I think reinforcement and punishment are very interesting topics that apply to everyone's lives.…

Actually, I am still in the most challenging academic course I have taken to date, AP United States History (APUSH). APUSH has been difficult for me due to the fact that I had very little knowledge of US history preceding my enrollment in the class. Furthermore, prior to this class I had never really had to study extensively to maintain high marks. APUSH has been different. Having little knowledge of this material, I have had to spend much more time studying.…

For my final portfolio, I chose to revise a shorter essay, “Potential Ramifications of a Trump Presidency,” and a longer essay, “Assignment 7: Finding Place Research Project.” I chose these two essays specifically because of their differences. The former is shorter, more informal, and includes more of my thoughts and opinions. The latter is a longer research paper, and thus is more formal and less biased as I attempted to give a brief history of gentrification and its impacts on East Liberty.…

Short Term 12 was a very interesting movie. It had hints of being realistic, but with aspects where you knew it was a movie. It’s about a group of workers who work in a foster care residential facility setting. The main character, Grace, deals with her own personal struggles while she supervises the children at the facility. I have a short bit of experience at a facility like Short Term 12 in some aspects; I can see where parts of the movie are realistic and where are some are an exaggeration because it is a movie.…

Taking the Predictive Index exam was intimidating at first, but after completing the exam it was not so bad afterall. In the process of waiting for the results, finding out I’m a High C was not so shocking for me to discover. The behavioral factor in which a high C needs to function is patience which I agree is pretty accurate based off my PI exam as well as my daily behaviors, such as being patience in the workforce, public and with others around me. The primary motivational factors for a High C are that they need a stable work environment, is service oriented, deliberate, consistent, needs time to think, and is recognized for loyalty. Being a High C I need to be in a stable work environment, which I agree with because as my PI exam mentions…

Learning can be interpreted in many ways to different individuals, although to me learning is about gaining knowledge and embracing every experience encountered and linking it to any task. Also I would explain that being open minded is a strong attribute to apply during the learning process. During my week one I stated that learning is to open and broaden an individual’s mind on subjects to gain knowledge or skills, and I’ve grown to realize its more than that. People can learn using different methods and be more responsive to one rather than the other. I am a Strong-Willed learner.…

Advance Punishment Exam (An analysis of the advanced placement english literature exam) Why should anyone care what’s on the AP exam? Well, unfortunately a bunch of high and mighty universities love to use test scores to value human beings, but can you really blame them they have a lot of worthless individuals to look through.
