Reflection On Tuition Reimbursement

Improved Essays
I am appealing an earlier petition of tuition reimbursement that was denied. They denied it because the health problems where all current and ongoing. While they are not wrong about that I do feel as though they ignored some important key factors in the situation and there has been some new health diagnosis as well. I dropped my Accounting II class and my Computers in Society class, I am just asking for a tuition reimbursement so I can retake them in the following semesters.
During fall semester of 2015 I was taking 17 credits at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. I ended up getting all A’s. Two of these classes were in person and three of them were online. Physically and Emotionally I did well with this schedule and work load. I figured that I could just as easily do 18 credits the next semester at St. Cloud State University with no problem, I got all A’s and my attendance was good during fall semester of 2015, why wouldn’t it be for spring semester of 2016. I tried my best through the first

I’m 21 years old; I don’t know how to control it yet. I didn’t know that I was going to end up having a surgery for endometriosis this year two weeks before finals. I didn’t know that morning classes hurt my body to a point where I got depressed again. I didn’t have this information when I was starting the semester. I try to be a normal student, but balancing school and self-care is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do in my life.

I would like to apologize that it took so long to finish this cover letter for the appeal. I had surgery two weeks before finals, I got the denial a week before finals, and finals week was exhausting. I appreciate you taking your time to look over the information again and consider refunding most or all of my tuition from the two classes I had to drop.

I began to take steps into relaxing my mind; exercising, take time breathing, and sitting into a quiet room to collect my thoughts. That experience has taught me that I can’t put a lot of stress on myself especially at the age of seventeen because I’m very young and I should be enjoying my years of high school. I know that some classes will be hard but that gives me the opportunity to know what I’m great at and what I need to improve. I have also learned to ask for help when I need it because in certain situations I won’t be able to handle minor issues in my…

The Pell Grant: Effects on Higher Education Introduction Both the federal and state governments play a crucial role in helping to finance higher education. While it is true that both levels provide an important amount of aid, it seems that in today’s world the importance of funding given by the federal government has increased. The increase in the reliance on the federal government for funding is a result of the decrease in the amount of appropriations given by the states (Kretovics, 2011).…

During my junior year I experienced failure. I had taken 3 AP classes and I was in cheer at my high school, and trying to figure out a balance between the two was difficult for me because it seemed like cheer took up a lot of my time and in the past other two years it had, but I had managed to still do well in my honors and AP classes. My junior year was another story, I struggled a lot at the beginning of the school year, and most of first semester was spent with me having an F sometimes more than one, and that was a failure to me because I had my heart set on going to a four college or university and I knew that if i had an F i wouldnt qualify.…

My grades this past year were and are not indicative of who I am as a student, or as a person in general. My junior year of high school, I decided to do PSEO, thinking it was an easy way to get credits for both high school and college. I did not realize the struggle I was going to have just trying to be accountable for myself during my senior year. My daily schedule consisted of work, soccer, managing the high school boy’s hockey team, volunteer work, spending time with my high school friends and taking college courses. I took the most challenging classes through Anoka-Ramsey Community College, thinking that like high school these would be the best for me.…

However, if states set Medicaid nursing home reimbursement levels and the federal government make changes also think the quality of care will come down or suffer. The withdrawal of services will affect quality, if they are not covered or no longer funded than these services will no longer be provided. There may be a correlation between a free-tuition policy for professors and a higher faculty retention, but is this benefit worth the apparent risks? There is much that needs to be evaluated about this situation before any policy is put into play. An increased morale seems like an advantage, however is that morale only from the professors with college-aged children receiving this benefit? I could predict some bitterness from other professors, say those who's children had just graduated from college and were now burdened with hefty student loans.…

Firstly I would like to express my deepest apologies for the time scale for which I am submitting this appeal, unfortunately when I received my results for the assignment mentioned in the front side of the stage 1 from, I was left feeling rather discouraged. Thus, time was required to come to terms with the situation. As time passed I realised the possible valid grounds for appealing the current grade. Upon convening with my course leader (Carol Williams) I was advised upon the degree to which I hold a valid cause for appeal and steps to take.…

I took two classes for the summer of 2016, but the Interpersonal Communication class had me worried the most. I had a training with the army, and that required me to absence from school for two weeks. Unlike my other class, I didn’t have a chance to work ahead of the class with the instructor for the two weeks that I would be missing. Therefore, I was worried that I wouldn’t catch up with my classmates and end up failing the class. However, Ms. Anna was generous and extended the assignment due date for me; she even gave me an extra-credit assignment to replace the credits that I missed during my two weeks in training.…
