The SUMP at the HCOE is aimed to give opportunity to the underrepresented Hispanic and Black communities in the medicine. Hence, I expect a broad, vivid and dynamic program that will completely reflect and meet our specific needs and lifestyle. Since I would get the chance to shadow medical personnel, I would expect that the personnel are in an area, that is or closely related to my area of interest.
The SUMP also provides medical lectures, workshop and literature review. This would be an excellent opportunity to get a sense of how a lecture at a medical school will be set up. I expect it to be completely enriching, educational and as close to actual medical lectures as possible.
