There are many things that i have experienced in Mr.Pj’s science class. We learned more than just science. Even though we had some amazing times in science class. All the classes were are almost always fun and not boring to where I would just want to sleep through. I'm pretty sure i speak for all of us when i say we learned a lot more than we do in other classes. Like i said earlier though we learned more than just science. We learned the values like getting work done on time, teamwork is key, and to be what Mr.Pj calls the students profile or what a student should be. When I mean getting work done on time, I mean Mr.Pj would always push you to finish your work not for his sake to grade it, but for you to understand what

Which is a good thing, because he is pushing his students to do there work and no just let students get zeros for not doing it. I learn that if you wanna pass Mr.Pj’s science class you must be able to work with other students, and have great teamwork capabilities. Most of the activities done in this class will involve teammates or group members. We have to learn about how we can contribute to a team and how to depend and trust other members to study their topic and do the work assigned to them. After studying in Mr.Pj’s class all of us improved on working together. I guess you can say Mr.Pj brought are class closer together? Anyway he made us become or try to look like a proper student. With all the values that a “good” student has. Even though at end of every class sometimes you felt like you didn't learn anything academic, you still learn something but you just never notice. I guess you could say you were getting closer to having all those student values or whatever it's called. I definetly not forget the amazing and fun classes i have had in science this year. Like i keep saying it felt like i did nothing the whole year, but somehow ended up learning so many new things. I'm pretty sure everyone would say the same

Everyone becomes involved and feels they are important because they depend on one another. All together it provides them with better social skills. No longer can kids just sit there and shy away while a teacher talks to them and tells them how to do something, they go into this knowing that a presentation of their skill they learned will be needed. The success in homework, was given in motivation, monitoring, and demonstrating what to do. I thought the teachers did a quite well with opening their classrooms as a open and positive atmosphere. You could see the students really open up and ask questions. They were given the attention that I felt was lacking in the classroom for them and they really needed to be given positive feedback and praise for understanding the material. There are certain skills that students need in order to complete homework and if they didn’t understand it in class, they wouldn’t be able to complete it at home.…

I realized that I actually have the skills to be leader, just by helping others out. I also realized that I have enough kindness and confidence to show the students with appropriate behavior and manners when in the classroom. To me, the most meaningful experience during my time as an SSL was most likely when a student that I was working with for a couple weeks became a good friend to me and got everything right on a test. It was the his first A so far, so he was very surprised. I felt that taking time and trying to help him review for that test really did the trick for him.…

Kreilein was trying to teach them. Since I had taken the same class last year I was able to help this student understand the formulas and questions and now they are ahead of the rest of the class. They just need a little extra help that Mr. Kreilein couldn’t provide because he had other students to think about as well. During my internship I have learned many valuable skills that I would have originally not learned with my class work at school. I have learned how that being able to be patient and not get frustrated when someone isn’t understanding you.…

The only problem with him was he was to nice to some students that clearly tried to slack their way through the class. On multiple occasions it seemed like a few students would just copy each others notes and turn them so they would get a good grade. The way to solve this would be everyone would have to do through research on a specific topic covered during class and the next day we should have all went over it as a group. This way everyone would do their own fair share and would learn better in the…

In college and even in high school, it is rare to form a relationship with more than a few people. However, by the end of the semester I knew everyone’s name and I felt like I actually knew them at least a little bit as a person. I think that a community style classroom is one of the best ways to teach, and I have developed this opinion over the past semester because I used to think that there was no order or control in these types of classrooms. However, when the classroom is a community the students feel more comfortable and their learning is increased. In the community style classroom, every student participates.…

Everyone was very eager to join the discussion, which is very good, but maybe we should have smaller groups with less time. Even though there is less time, students in the smaller groups will get a fair chance at speaking at any time during the discussion, allowing greater performances for everyone, even the quietest students. In conclusion, I feel that I did extremely well on my first Socratic seminar. There are many improvements I need to make, but they will surely be addressed in my future Socratic seminars. Overall, everyone did marvelously, and there isn’t much we can change except practice more so that we can master these discussions and truly improve our communication skills in the…

When I teach science in my own classroom, I will try and incorporate some of the ideas I learned from my placement and from the teaching science course. I saw first hand how much students enjoyed being in charge of their learning. Students seemed to grasp difficult concepts such as the different forces of motion and variables because they were able to explore like scientists and ask critical questions. The teacher never put down or ignored an idea from a student. When students made predictions, she always stressed that scientists are constantly making and changing their hypothesizes.…
