Genesis account of creation: According to Genesis 1&2, God was responsible for the creation of everything. God worked over the course of seven days in order to create everything from the Heaven to the Earth. Over the first six days, day, night, the sky, the ocean, the land, vegetation, the moon, the sun, animals and humans were all separated and created. Then, on the seventh day God blessed it to be holy as he rested from all of his creations on that day. After his day of rest, God breathed life into a man and created the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden had every tree that produced the perfect fruits good enough to eat. God instructed the man to work and look over this Garden. Interpretation of origin of the universe: I feel as though my worldview best fits the theory of theistic evolution with the influence of science. My whole life I’ve grown up in a christian household and was constantly told that God exists and that not believing so is “bad” and that “I just need to have faith in Him.” As a kid I always questioned my mother if God was real and constantly got scolded for even questioning Him. So, as I began to get older and was able to formulate more complex thoughts and conclusions, I started to look at science and other possibilities of our universes origin. In fact, one of the reasons why I decided to commit to Grand Canyon University was because they were so involved with the christian faith and I wanted to explore other perspectives even though I myself had a hard time believing in God and his possible role in the creation of the universe. For example, I started attending bible studies and the chapel services that were offered every week and I am trying my best to keep an open mind and be positive in my christian worldview class as well. I’ll admit, at first I thought my christian worldview class was going to be a waste of my time and that it was just going to be someone preaching to me that science had no role in the origins of the universe. However, as time went by, professor Blocker played a video that showed how science does have a part in the origin of the universe, but so does God or a greater being/ creator because of the way our universe functions and how its found that happy medium where things are not too complex nor super
