Reflection Of A Program Analysis

Improved Essays
When the program was implemented, I believe it went well. This is because the clients expressed that they enjoyed the program and when they were asked what they learned, they understood everything that was taught and explained to them. When I analysed the program at a later date however, I did notice that there were some aspects that could have been modified in all aspects of the program. This includes how the Engagement activity, skill building activity, cool down and action plan were implemented and how they can be modified. To begin with, I believe that the engagement activity was well thought out because they were very responsive and eventually seemed to enjoy it. However, I think that it could have been a lot better organized and it could …show more content…
During the explanation of the activity and goals, I sat with my three and asked them what they thought a good friend was. I asked them what they liked about a friend and told them to write or draw what they came up with on a piece of chart paper. The clients gave good explanations and with these answers, I was better able to help them grasp what characteristics a good friend possessed. When we finished going around the table answering questions, the clients were then presented with what I called the “mystery box.” When I showed them what was inside, I told them that we would be building a structure where we could show friendship. However having not seen what was inside the box until that moment, I was admittedly unprepared. The box had various pieces of cardboard, smaller pieces of wooden beads and blocks, as well as other small items. After taking the items out of the box, I sat with them and helped them create a basis for their structure. Having decided on a camp ground, rather than a building, I gave the clients each an item that they were in charge of and because they were in charge of this item, I explained that they would have to share the objects between each other. While this portion of the program went smoothly and I could see the clients understanding the goals as time progressed, there would be a few things that I would change. I would find a way to create better transitions between the …show more content…
Firstly, as I sat with the clients, I saw that they understood that a friend is a person who shares. Secondly, I saw they understood what good characteristics of a good friend are. I also asked everyone what they shared and why this could be a part of being a good friend. The one thing that I noticed that could be changed, should this program be implemented again, I would share anything that I noticed that they did not share that could help them better define a good characteristic of a friend. In the last portion of this program, the action plan helped the clients to find a way to use all that was taught to be used when they left the

Unlike many of those who enter into Computer Science programs in college I have only recently, in the last couple of years, started programming. During my senior year of high school a friend of mine and myself started playing around with C++ for fun during a vocational networking class accomplishing very little and not getting any desired results. At that time I had no clue that a couple short years later I would have a deeper understanding of proper programming methodologies and an understanding of a variety of languages to meet specific needs. It is often that you will see, or at least I have seen, when speaking to others programmers, that programmers believe that their language of choice is the language that will solve every problem that…

Introduction Definitions of intelligence vary among scholars, theorists, and laypersons, due to its multidimensionality. However, intelligence typically involves an individual’s ability to learn from experience and adapt to the environment in which they live. I believe that the construct of intelligence should encompass an individual’s ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form, to think logically, and to express creativity. Two intelligence tests in which I recently had the opportunity to take and score included the Shipley Institute of Living Scale-2 and the Wonderlic Personnel Test.…

I noticed how her motivation grew and how she was ambitious in her goal setting. It was inspiring for me to see how I was helping someone towards their vision simply by listening to them and asking questions about their goals. The only thing I disliked about this process was that it felt very rushed. I felt sometimes as if we were rushing through the session just to set three goals instead and ending up settling on certain goals or tweaking the goals from a previous week. I think our coaching experience could have been more effective if we would have spent more time delving further into the client’s vision to set even better goals that would help her reach her…

The question may be answered depending on when you were born and what the culture of friendship and dating were at the time. There have been many studies linked to friendship, including opposite-sex and same-sex friendship as described in the article, by April L. Bleske and David M. Buss, titled: Can men and women be just friends? This article discusses the methodology of two studies performed to test evolution-based hypotheses and their outcomes. Friendships in general can provide benefits to both parties as well as inflict costs.…
