Personal Narrative The month of July 2015 I went on a life changing journey. I was going on a eight day liveaboard scuba diving trip in the Bahamas. This trip consisted of fourteen dives including a shark dive, and many other amazing types of dives.
One day in late January of 2015 I got my call to this scuba diving trip. I was at my boy scout meeting on one of the last Mondays of January when they started to talk about the scuba diving trip in the Bahamas. Immediately I ran home and asked my mom if I could go on this trip and I gave her the price and the other details about the trip.
She said “I’ll think about it, Kevin” I thought that that meant that she going to say no and refusing to let me go on the scuba trip. A few days later she said “Kevin I’ve decided to let you go on the scuba trip. me up and I jumped with glee. I woke up at four in the morning to leave for my eight o’clock flight. I made sure that I had everything my passport my plane ticket, my scuba certification, and my boat ticket. When my parents drove me to the airport and dropped me off, I started to feel nervous because I was going to another country without any of my parents of close friends. When I walked through customs I knew there was no turning back.
The flight to the Bahamas was fun, and the drive to the boat was nice, since I got to see Paradise Island and some other parts of the island. I got on the boat, and got a tour, and met the crew. The crew went over what the schedule was and how the diving worked. The crew then got the boat ready and we set sail. We sailed till about midnight and the moon over the open water was very pretty.
