My practicum experience was in grades k-4 as I was with a teacher who was a resource teacher for students who nee extra help in reading and math. My experience was great as I got so see a huge diversity of students and how the teacher interacted towards each one differently depending on their needs. During my practicum experience the teacher had each grade level at different times of the day, starting with kindergarten and finishing with fourth grade. Each grade level she had for 65 minuets per day. If the students behaved well she gave them a 10-minute free time break at the end of their class. In the other two grades when students were given this free time the boys went and sat at one table as the girls sat at the same table as the teacher and all of the students were a lot less hyper and more focused on the items the teacher had put in their folder for homework. I found it interesting that in the third and fourth grades the boys sat separate than the boys and the girls sat with the teacher who was also a girl. …show more content…

After each assignment, Mrs. Gaither went around to each individual student and went over their answers with the student. Based on what answers they got wrong is where she would focus more attention. I found this style of teacher very helpful to each student because it wasn’t just as a whole.…
