Reflection On PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

I have decided to pursue PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals to have the opportunity to be trained by the best to become the best clinician, teacher, and researcher that I can be. A good friend of mine, who has completed his PGY1, and currently going through his PGY2 in Hematology Oncology at UNC Hospitals, Dr. Ryan Beechinor, has mentioned many great things about the program.
I am most impressed with the structure of the residency project. The flipped research model is extremely beneficial for residents. I have had firsthand experience where the IRB approval process delayed me from working on the project. The process required three revisions that took up three months.
