My Journey As a Writer Throughout high school, I feel like my writing skills have changed drastically, thanks to all my aspiring english teachers who have helped me grow along the way. Essays, speeches, and short stories have been a struggle for me in the past. Writers block is my worst enemy. Because of my helpful mentors, I’ve learned different strategies to overcome these writing obstacles. As a writer, I feel like there’s always room for improvement. There’s always some way to make your writing superior than the last piece you’ve written before. For me, I have strengthened my areas in word choice, cancelling out dead words, and practicing different styles of sentences so my writing isn’t dull. My main goal as a writer is to keep my readers
