Learning Styles And Modes Of Learning

I believe everyone learns in different ways through different learning styles and techniques. Each individual has a different mix of learning styles, for instance some may be more dominate than others, therefore there maybe little to no use of the others. Some individuals may have different styles of strength in different circumstances such as creative, theory and practical modes of learning. In my tutorial we completed a multiple intelligence test in order to determine our strongest learning styles. The multiple intelligence test I completed has allowed me to identify that my two strongest area’s of intelligence are Interpersonal (my self smart) and visual also referred to as spatial (picture smart). Furthermore linguistic intelligence can be can operate independently out side a certain modality as a skill. A high Linguistic intelligence is having a natural ability with words and language and are skilled in area’s of reading, writing and story telling. When looking at my results from the multiple intelligence test I was shocked to see that word smart was my highest intelligence, as I have never really been confidant with spelling, grammar or punctuation. In fact in High school I hated english and everything about it having to write essays, reading poetry and texts that I did not find interesting and I never really enjoyed reading books until I was eighteen. But since starting university my hate of english had decreased and my love of reading has increased.
