One thing the connection to our inner child can bring is fun. Fun is believing that life is there to be enjoyed. If we can keep this concept in mind every day, then we can bring fun into our lives on a daily basis. Even if your circumstances aren’t very good at the moment, they can begin to shift when you find that element of fun.

Modern life demands many things of us. As a result, we can tend to take ourselves a bit too seriously sometimes. Making fun (especially of ourselves) can instantly bring us back into balance. Fun is a very personal thing. What’s fun for one person, maybe considered a nightmare for someone else.

We all err. That’s how we learn and grow. However, when we forgive (ourselves or others), we open ourselves up to our connection with the divine. Divine could mean our inner guidance, our true selves, our spirit or god. Whatever it means to you personally, it sets us free.

Forgiving someone else for their actions towards you can be quite difficult. However, the reality is that forgiveness isn’t really something you do for the other person, it’s something you do for yourself. Forgiveness can be a gradual process. You need to be ready to forgive. If the pain runs deep, this process may take time. If so, that’s okay.

To get to that point may take a few steps. Firstly, think about the incident and accept that it happened. Then look at the incident from a growth point of view and ask, “What did I learn from this?” If there was someone else involved, remind yourself that they have their own limiting beliefs and perspectives, and were probably trying to have their own needs met.
