Along with intersectionality, the discussion about Third Culture Kids, and child labour stood out to me. Third Culture Kids are kids who have lived by a different culture than their parents and have experienced different cultures and lifestyles throughout their lifetime. There were many people who had come from mixed cultures and also there were many who had lived in more than one country their whole life. The problem was that they never knew how to present themselves since they carried so many backgrounds with them. They didn 't know how to answer the question “where are you from?” and they certainly had a problem identifying their “home”. I felt that I would be proud to say that I shared cultures or even that I’ve lived all over the world. Sometimes I wonder how it would be if I was a child who could say I lived in Paris, Ohio, Chicago, and maybe even Mexico. On the other hand I do understand how actually living like this can create a social barrier. Every time a child has to relocate they have to learn new traditions, meet new friends, and maybe eat different foods. There are many advantages and disadvantages to being a Third Country Kid.
