The interdisciplinary team meeting at my clinical site (PMU) consist of CNL, medical doctor, psychiatrist, PAs, social work, care manager, activity therapy, nurse and clinical pharmacist. I think they are excellent at collaborating and communicating about patients’ progresses and needs on daily basis from Monday through Friday (I don’t believe there is a IPT meeting on weekend). The team talk about medications, sleep, food intake, etc. But what I notice though, the nurse has a very little input in the team, and it seems that the meeting is social worker, care manager, or doctor driven. I have not seen or heard a nurse suggested an intervention to improve patient outcome at the team meeting. The nurse would just say “slept 6 hours last night”
