I am appealing this honor code violation because I used a tutor to get help for Financial Accounting and I did not violate any of the honor code or rules in the syllabus. I am offered help labs to have any of my questions about the class and the material answered. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to the help labs because I am a student athlete and it conflicts with my practice time. So, for an alternative I asked student athlete services to provide me with a tutor so I can get my questions answered. In the syllabus, it says that you should bring your work with you, and they will ask to see your work before assisting you. This is what went on during my tutoring session.
