Healthy Diet Critical Thinking Assignment
On a typical day, I consume four servings of grain products. I usually have rye toast which after doing this exercise, I realized is not whole grain. The other sources would be steel cut oats and granola.
On average I have 7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. In the three days that I recorded, the sources were apples, oranges, bananas, blueberries, dates, carrots, celery, cucumber, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, green pepper, zucchini, snap peas, potatoes.
My servings of milk products were 2 per day. I have a plain, natural yogurt as a snack most days. The other sources would be Provolone and Cheddar cheese. I will often have 1% cottage cheese for lunch, although not on the recorded days.

I wake up and start my morning with lemon water around 8 a.m. I then have breakfast around 9 a.m. I will have fruit for a snack and coffee on its own at some point in the morning. I eat lunch around 1 pm. I will have some raw vegetables, yogurt and granola, fruit or nuts (usually a combination of these) as a snack mid-afternoon. I eat dinner typically around 6:30. I may have nacho chips or popcorn in the evening if I am hungry but often it is just tea and a sweet.
I occasionally skip breakfast if I am going to work out in the morning. I find eating prior to my workout makes me sluggish. I will always have my water and sometimes grab a fruit or a date/seed bar (homemade) on those days. But I may not have a complete meal. This happens twice a week. I am a grazer by nature and do not go long periods without eating. I find it uncomfortable to eat large meals (due to a hiatal hernia) and typically eat a lot of smaller meals during the day.
I would say that my weekend eating habits are the same as my weekday habits unless there is a special holiday or occasion I would eat very similarly to how I do during the
