All leadership, front line supervisors to administrators, and human resource departments are vital in creating policies that support mission fulfillment and promote interpersonal relationships in organizations.
Ramifications of not Improving Employee Engagement Employees are the heart and soul of every organization. Furthermore, employees are typically the ones providing hands on care and services to customers no matter what business an organization is in. Thus, every organization must ensure employees are engaged so the organization can flourish.
With the increased complexity of patients, the demands on the healthcare system to decrease costs, and the growing nursing shortage, the ramifications of not improving employee engagement could be even more detrimental to the overall success and survival of a healthcare organization. The government, our communities, and our staff will no longer tolerate mediocre leadership efforts to improve our work environments, increase efficiency, and improve quality of care. Hence, healthcare leaders need to take employee engagement seriously, develop a strategy to prevent disengagement, and continuously improve organizational
