After numerous hours of self-reflection, what follows is my competency improvement plan. The plan focuses on competencies I would like to improve over the next few years, as well as a few I would like to maintain. My approach was to focus on areas that would improve the whole person and not just skills related to professional growth. This self-assessment required a thorough self-critique of multiple areas of my life and many personal qualities. Included in the plan, is the list of competencies as well as why I selected them, an evaluation of my current status in each competency, my targeted level of success in each area, a list of resources to assist me in my goals, and my overall plan to develop the discussed competencies.
