The most interesting health topic we discussed was Stress. This topic was the most interesting thing to me because it was the most relevant topic to me, personally. Coming to college was an extremely stressful experience. It took a lot for me to get here, and when I got here I was immediately stressing about my grades, keeping my scholarship and more. This topic was interesting because it explained everything that I was experience due to stress, and what I could do to solve those experiences. So I think I a topic in the book that should be added to the syllabus is Weight Management. Chapter 14 in the health book, Weight Management, discusses many things, especially how if people do not manage their weight then they could get diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions. The students will learn the right way to manage their weight, not doing things that could make them anorexic or bulimic. Most people do not how to approach overcoming a weight problem. The chapter also addresses the psychological aspects of body image. A college can be a place that people can either lose or gain weight. The cafeteria has a plethora of healthy and unhealthy options. The students in the class can discuss and plan ways that could allow them to not gain the freshman 15. Weight management is among the problems that college students face. Personally I believe both have valid evidence supporting one another, but I side more towards Pro-choice. Having the choice whether to abort your baby or not should be legal, especially depending on the life circumstances of the mother. Unplanned pregnancy, mainly rape, I believe is the biggest reason why it should be legal to have abortions. Also, the mother may not be financially stable to raise a baby. A baby could cost between $8,500-$23,000 a year and require a lot of time, and some mothers do not have the financial support, time or family support. A mother readiness to have a baby depends on her mental state, beliefs, age and more. For these reasons, abort should be an option available for pregnant women who are not
