After reflecting on this course, share with me the most interesting health topic to you. Why?
The most interesting health topic we discussed was Stress. This topic was the most interesting thing to me because it was the most relevant topic to me, personally. Coming to college was an extremely stressful experience. It took a lot for me to get here, and when I got here I was immediately stressing about my grades, keeping my scholarship and more. This topic was interesting because it explained everything that I was experience due to stress, and what I could do to solve those experiences. So I think I a topic in the book that should be added to the syllabus is Weight Management. Chapter 14 in the health book, Weight Management, discusses many things, especially how if people do not manage their weight then they could get diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions. The students will learn the right way to manage their weight, not doing things that could make them anorexic or bulimic. Most people do not how to approach overcoming a weight problem. The chapter also addresses the psychological aspects of body image. A college can be a place that people can either lose or gain weight. The cafeteria has a plethora of healthy and unhealthy options. The students in the class can discuss and plan ways that could allow them to not gain the freshman 15. Weight management is among the problems that college students face. College students face issues with alcohol, pregnancy and drugs, which is included in the class syllabus, so Weight Management should also be added …show more content…
Personally I believe both have valid evidence supporting one another, but I side more towards Pro-choice. Having the choice whether to abort your baby or not should be legal, especially depending on the life circumstances of the mother. Unplanned pregnancy, mainly rape, I believe is the biggest reason why it should be legal to have abortions. Also, the mother may not be financially stable to raise a baby. A baby could cost between $8,500-$23,000 a year and require a lot of time, and some mothers do not have the financial support, time or family support. A mother readiness to have a baby depends on her mental state, beliefs, age and more. For these reasons, abort should be an option available for pregnant women who are not

George believes that abortion should not be legalized. That it should be restricted. He states “A pro-life advocate sees abortion as a sin against God who infuses life at the moment of conception; a pro-choice advocate sees abortion as a decision to be made in accordance with the best scientific opinion as to when the beginning of life, as we know it, occurs.” (182) I believe that in the bible it does state that abortion is wrong, so Mr. George made a good point there.…

Motherhood should never be a punishment. Abortion is a fundamental right and should stay legal in all places for all people. A common misconception about abortion is that the child is able to feel being aborted and that it hurts the fetus. But what people do not know is that the child is actually not able to feel pain until around the twentieth week of gestation. Studies show that less than two percent of abortions occur after twenty weeks.…

I'm pro-life when it comes to abortion i feel their is only one exception to this and that's rape. If you're old enough to spread your legs then you're old enough to take responsibility for your actions those babies don't have a choice, they didn't ask to be brought into this world you did it to them so taking their life away before it fully begins then in my opinion i feel you should be locked up for murder of a child, endangerment of an unborn child, child abuse…… i feel that those should be punishable by death you're killing human beings still they didn't ask to be here you did this to them you have no right to take a human beings choice. Such bills and amendments would include, the Hyde Amendment, which blocks federal funding for Medicaid to cover a woman’s abortion with the exception of rape, incest, or medical complications (Planned Parenthood). Then there are others, such as the 20-week ban, which is the maximum number of weeks that a woman can be pregnant after the act of conception (Planned Parenthood). This also falls under what the views are for those that are in governmental power. For example, those that are in a democratic view point tend to be more pro-choice on the issue of abortion, siding with a forty-seven percent that these bans and limitations are wrong, but providing alternative solutions to aid women in having safe and legal abortions (NAF). As opposed to…

Certain people may be pro-choice because they are not given the big picture about what is going to happen to the unborn baby, they may in fact have their innocence taken advantage of, simply because they were not fully informed. There are two main sides to this issue, and that is either the pro-choice side, or the pro-life side. Pro-life is the idea and belief that no matter what development stage a baby is in, it should be allowed to live, whereas pro-choice means that aborting a baby is alright for people to do. After examining the following evidence people may see that pro-life is a better option to pro-choice. The following articles will prove how some people choose to be pro-choice because they don’t even want to listen to the other side, and when morality is brought into the argument, pro-life seems to be the more appealing selection.…
