I had a trumpet instructor in 7th grade. Chris preached the Arban’s Book like the bible, afterwards I quit because as a 7th grader it was “too hard”. Looking back on it now, I realize how lucky I was to even get lessons with him and how stupid it was to even quit.
Band Shoes
These are the most comforable and enjoyable shoes I have ever worn. If I wouldn’t be questioned so much about wearing them then I would wear them daily
Cheerleaders
We know sometimes we start the fight song before you’re ready, or we’ll unexpectidly play a song just out of the blue, but just know, our job is just as hard as ours and you guys are doing awesome.
Competitions
Not only is performing an exillerating experience, you also meet so many new people. Sometimes it’s nice finding people who enjoy the same things you do.

I hate it with a fiery passion, but it has taught me that even when you have to do something that makes you want to gouge your eyes out, you should still give a 110% because some people really care about that thing and you don’t need to ruin it for them.
Pride
When we get called to attention everyone yells “Pride!” really REALLY loud!! And in that moment when everyone is standing still under the stadium lights it really makes you think about how far you all have come together as a band and a group
Saxophones
Dennis is our lead saxophone player. He has taught me so much and has helped me out more than words can say. He is graduating this year and I’m not sure what band is going to be like without him.
Uniforms
It takes everyone about 30 minutes just to get into their uniforms and straighten their hats.....and that’s on a good night!! No but seriously it sucks.
Zippers
Our uniforms zip up all the way in the front for our pants, and the jackets zip up in the back. Sometimes this makes it awkward because asking some one to “unzip you” can sound weird to other
