And, I will admit that I was also very nervous about going back to elementary school. After my first few days in the field, I managed to calm myself down and I learned that all the students, teachers, and administrators were exceptionally supportive. All the students were curious about me, they didn 't know if I was there for them or weather or not I was there to get their teacher in trouble. The student were definitely my favorite part of this assignment. I thought that all the teachers showed outstanding knowledge when it came to teaching, they all kept control of their classrooms and at the same time made all the children feel comfortable and safe. On many occasions students would bring their teachers gifts or hug them, showing me what a great bond the teacher and students can have. I wish this was how the school system was set up back when I was attending. If it was, I probably would have stayed in school and would not have to be going back to further my education right now. At first, I found it hard to believe that school and teaching had changed so much since my time there, it was a definite cultural shock for me. I am exceedingly enthused at how much better schools and teachers are becoming. I hope to become a part of educational system and give back to the community that has given so much to me. I am glad to know that my children are in these great environment surrounded by the support they need to
