Divergent seemed to be about one girl named "Tris," and her plight to become apart of a very exciting group, called "Dauntless." The movie is set in an post- apocalyptic city, where there are four factions, each faction representing a different belief, it would seem. Through out the movie we can see "Tris," have to complete major fear racking tests in order to becoming apart of this group. As the movie continues the, the main character "Tris," is made aware that she is divergent, hence the title. However this divergent labeling is considered a negative thing among her new "dauntless," associates. Through ones own interpretation of the movie, one could potentially say that a lesson learned from the movie is that groups rarely succeed in continuously working together. As can be seen by definition of a collective action and through the eventual civil war among this "Dauntless," group themselves, and the rest of the factions, in this post apocalyptic city. Another lesson in ones opinion that can be learned from "Divergent," in regards to the aspect of social movements, is the one can see the type of tension and controversy these movements can create. As well as in the movie "Divergent," each faction seemed to represent there own social agenda, meaning each faction represented a different social movement perhaps.
