Reflection Of Terminator 2

The movie that i watched and reminds me about Artificial Intelligence and robotics is the classic science fiction film TERMINATOR 2 and shows us what we have still to learn about Artificial Intelligence.Terminator 2 tells the story of two cyborgs sent back in time from the future,one is the T800 which is living tissue over metal endoskeleton which was performed by the most iconic role Arnold Schwarzenegger to protect the future leader of the human resistance;the other (the T1000, a more advanced , space shifting liquid metal model) sent to terminate him.Terminators would potentially be susceptible to physical to transfer knocking them off their feet,even if bullets weren't able to damage their endoskeleton directly.This is very different to …show more content…
P= mass * velocity = mv

= 0.00745kg * 381 m/s

= 2.838kgm/s

Assuming that all the momentum is transferred to the T800,it will change the momentum of the T800 by a certain amount:we can call this Delta P(DP).We can then work out what velocity each bullet would normally impart,which will refer to as Delta V(DV).We need the wieght for T800,which is never stated.But it can ride a motorcycle fine-so we can estimate a weight of 200 Kg:

DV=DP/m

=2.838/200

Sarah Connor manages to knock the T1000 back a sizeable amount with single shotgun blasts in the final showdown at the steel mill.We dont need to perform any calculations to show this is implausible.For each shot Sarah Connor should feel the same momentum effects as the T1000 that is struck.While she has the benefit of being braced for the shot,its still unlikely the T1000 would be knocked through the air an entire meter,unless it weighed much much less than a human.This also happens in the first T800 Vs T1000 showdown,Where single shots from Arnie's shotgun throw the T1000 all over the place.Early in the film, a young jhon Connor is shown supporting himself by cracking ATM pin codes using an early portable computer which shows the premise for the technology is realistic.He appears to use a brute force attack,trying all possible PIN combinations.Each digit has ten possibilities,and there are four

    The old-style bullet were lead balls. At close ranges the lead ball was very dangerous due to their large size, weight, and density. At long ranges on the other side the lead ball was almost ineffective. If the bullet even managed to hit its target due to its large size and weight the bullet would not have enough force to even break the skin. At long ranges the lead ball would simply bounce of its target leaving only a bruise.…

    When choosing a film to write about, I selected the movie Holes since it was a movie very familiar to me and something I used to enjoy watching as a child. Holes, released in April 18, 2003, is a film written about a young boy, Stanley Yelnats IV, who was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, due to his bad luck and 100-year-old family curse. Having been falsely accused of stealing a famous baseball player’s cleats, Stanley was forced to go to court and instead of being sentenced to serve local time, he was sent to a juvenile correctional camp called camp green lake. This camp was designed for teenage boys who were forced to spend their days digging Holes out in the desert, in what the camp counselors and officials referred to as, “building character.”…

    In the film Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, it has shown me how much young girls and women in worldwide are not getting the equal opportunities compared to men. As I was watching the film, many young girls are not getting educated due to their non-supportive environments where their family traditions are for women to be working for the family as they do not believe in women getting education, and as a girl they are to be married off to or sell their body to support family financially. Before I watched this film, I knew women in other countries did not get education because their family economic situations and unsupportive family for females in the household, but these ideas were just so normalized to…

    The world of artificial intelligence is advancing at a rapid rate with robots becoming increasingly human like everyday. Advancements in these technologies requires us as humans to understand the benefits and the ramifications of introducing this scarcely understood technology into our everyday lives. Blindly allowing a new form of intelligence could be potentially catastrophic if not fully understood as the stability of these technologies are yet to be understood. Within Isaac Asimov's story “Liar!” he attempts to humanize the robot to distance it from the Frankenstein Complex.…
