Our society made it so easy for us “creep” on one another. Instead having a conversation with a person and truly trying get to know them we go right Facebook type in their name and are able to figure out everything we want to know about that person. Judging them right then and there on what they have portrayed their life to be. What if we as a society did not have this ability to find out everything about a person before even meeting them. Would we actually give them a fair chance? We would not have opinion on someone even before meeting them. Often people choose to post their highlights in life only. No one ever seems to shares the bad time or pictures that are a part of their life. Being able to select what others view you as, has many negative effects one being that’s not truly who you are. Our society shouldn’t be able to judge you for what you post on these platforms because they truly do not understand what is happening in your life. I looked at my Facebook account and it told me that I have nine hundred and thirty-six friends. I do not consider all of them to be my close friends they have no idea on what is truly happening in my life right now. Only my close friends do so therefore even what I am portraying on Facebook is false.
While I am in the habit of checking my social media accounts I think we have abused them. We no longer use them to effectively communicated with one another. Instead it is a place where we choose what message we want to send. Facebook was initially intended to help us communicate with one another we have now abused this platform. I think it is safe to say my generation has a lot to learn about communicating with one
