I start my writing process in the comfort of my own room. I sit on my twin size bed and lean back on a couple pillows. I then proceed to open up my laptop and go to Microsoft word. My planning stage is rough and not thought out well enough. I need to write down more information and actually plan out my paper before I begin to write it. The drafting stage is generally the easiest for me. In this stage I simply write out all the information I have and try to make it flow together. The next stage is the most difficult for me, and it is revision. “When a draft is completed, the job of writing can begin” (Murray 194). In my writing I feel that when I have completed my first draft, most of my job is done. But I have found that this is not the case. Professional writers spend the most time on revision and put the most effort into it. During the revision stage they are actually able to create a writing piece instead of just having words on paper. I need to change my writing process so that I put more focus on the revision stage instead of the drafting stage. After that stage I move on to correcting grammar which is simple if using Microsoft word because it corrects most of it for the writer. Proofreading is something I struggle with. I tend to not want to read it again because I feel like I have read it so many times at this point. I need to discipline myself to sit down and read my paper aloud one last
