Intro 1: Dr. Angela Lee Duckworth once said: “Grit is passion or perseverance for very long-term goals. Grit is having stamina. Grit is sticking with you future, day in and day out – not just for a day, not just for a month, but for years – to make that future a reality.” This quote has a deep significant for all the students who are trying to pursue their passion. Every student has a right to learn to become “gritter”, and to develop their skills to fulfill their potential. To become better educated, students need to be challenged as much as possible on their journey to success. Therefore, my teaching philosophy is based on the belief that a teacher had a responsibily to provide students knowledge and teach students to be diligent in order to help them succeed in both academic and real life.

For me, I think challenge is the best way for students to accept their failure and endeavor in the pathway of figuring out what their true goals are. Students with “growth mindset” and “grit” have a strong desire to pursue their dream; even though they hit many walls of failures on their journey, they are never give up because they finally find a key to success by experiencing failures. With the belief of challenging students to help them improve their confidence and self-potential, my teaching philosophy create a competion environment in order to give students a right to develop their passion towards their dream.
